T'Cats Roll Past Thrill; Face Bonita Valley on Thursday

The 12U Rocklin ThunderCats overcame a shaky first inning and rallied their way to a 15-4 victory over Tulare Thrill in the opening game of the tournament's championship bracket. Behind Maddie Wuelfing's seven-strikeout, three-hit performance and another stellar defensive effort, the ThunderCats kept their bats alive with 18 hits and solid baserunning. Key hits by C.J. Wilson, Winona Vigil, Delanie Chrisman, and many others kept the offensive pressure on the Thrill throughout.

The T'Cats earned a date with SoCal powerhouse Bonita Valley, who they will face tomorrow (Thursday) at 8 a.m.

Thanks to our wonderful group of fans. Please keep the comments coming, as the girls appreciate--and get fired up--reading them.

GO THUNDERCATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The T'Cats responded after an early team conference, facilitated by Coach Joe Asaro.

Catcher Sam Moffat takes the sign behind the plate.

C.J. Wilson connects for a triple.

Maysn Ungerer slides safely into home.

Yes, Courtney Moreno--you're safe!

Outfielder Haily Paul hustles in to make the play.

Centerfielder Monica Martinez shows offs her strong arm.

Shortstop Halle Williams makes another solid play.

Mallory Asaro lets the world know how she feels about her teammates and their victory.

WOW! I am truly amazed by the photos of all of you girls playing so hard! Remember that you are amazing role models for all the other girls out there who might not think it is OK or cool for girls to play sports! You girls look amazing and so dedicated! Rock on!

And please tell Driver Bob that he does NOT have a cousin named Kim! That would be too embarrassing!

Love you all! (Hi Janis!)

Hey chikas!
You guys rock and are truly an inspiration to all softball players out there. I heard from my mom that you guys are hitting like 600? WHAT? CRAZINESS to the MAX!!! And a 7 straight strikeouts with 3 hits is a victory all by itself. Way to go and keep it up. The pics are amazing and the faces in them are priceless. Good luck for the rest of the season and hopefully ill pop my head it to watch a couple games.

Mucho Love,
Katie Asaro (Mallory's favorite cousin) :)
